“Your contractual violations and the interest of the nation necessitates that I tender my resignation and recourse to the termination of our working agreement,” the resignation letter read in part. He is also owed four months’ salary, while his assistants are also being owed for several months. He further accused the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) of not giving him enough support to prepare the team for next month’s all-important AFCON qualifiers against seven-time champions and qualifying group leaders Egypt.
He said he received “so little help” from the NFF and has been soldering on under “unconducive working conditions”.
